Press Releases on Bidi Monograph and Law Enforcers Workshop

 Media has played very important role in achieving the objectives of the tobacco control programme. In many important occasions and events media has provided wide coverage to the tobacco issues in their respective news papers and electronic Medias. The daily news papers such as Times of India, Indian Express, the Hindu, The States Man, The Pioneer, The Telegraph,The Samaja, The sambada, Pratidin, Parya Bekhyak,Pragativadi,Samaya,Odisha Bhaskar,Khabar,Amari katha,Nyayabati and Sambad kalika etc are some of the news papers where regular articles, news and events detail on tobacco issues are regularly published. In TV Channels such as Door Darshan, OTV and ETV our spokes persons and team members participate in regular talk shows. Discussions also held with the editors of Dharitri and Sambad on restricting the advertising of tobacco products by tobacco companies in their news papers. All the local daily Newspapers namely Times of India, The New Indian Express, The statesman, The pioneer, The Telegraph, Samaya, Pratidin, Amari katha, Dinalipi, Khabar have published the news of Bidi Monograph and the tobacco vulnerability in Orissa context. Law enforcement workshop, and police stations to become No Smoking zones.
